Day 3 (The ZOO!)

Hey Everyone,
It's so easy to update this while we're here in Sydney... cheap 1 buck for 30mins.

So today was Zoo day. We got up at a decent hour and started to get ready... unfortunately the day started on the wrong foot when we decided we should all try Veggiemite on toast (and Aussie thing) One word... GROSSSSSSSS! not one of us could swallow and all had to spit it out. I would not suggest this.

After that we were off to the Toranga Zoo (not Steve Irwins as Kelly had said in our previous post). We saw SOOOOOO much. Our first Koala (Kelly was excited), and a tonne of Kangaroos which were really neat, and all sorts of other stuff. We also took in a Seal show. That wasn't much different than the ones back home but still cool to take in. We got to the zoo by taking a Ferry from Darling Harbour. Great ride across and on the way back they took us for a 45 min cruise around the different harbours. Some great things to see and some amazing houses right on the ocean (I'm sure lots of money). Then we pretty much jumped off the boat and headed back to the apartment. We're still on the (seems like) ever lasting hunt for a good cup of coffee... If we don't find one I fear for Eds sanity!!! he he he. Oh yeah... the Pope arrived today! This city is all a buzz with his arrival. Religious people EVERYWHERE. You can't hardly turn around without seeing a nun or priest. Thursday is World Youth Day (thank god... no pun intended... we're gone by then! They're planning on having most of the roads shut down that day, and security will be at a max.

Anyways there's alot more I could say I guess, but we have a very early morning tomorrow. We're headed off to the blue mountains tomorrow for an all day tour. We're also looking forward to a performance of My Fair Lady at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday. Sorry to hear the weather hasn't been great back at home. Today was a little warmer (20 degrees) here. Looking forward to heading north. Brisbane was 27 today so the further north we go... the warmer it'll get.

Hope you're all doing well, we miss you all.
Cheers!
Jesse, Kelly, Rhonda, and Ed

Hey guys,

Sounds like you are having an amazing trip so far and packing a lot in. LOVE LOVE LOVE the hat Eddie! Suits you very much.
The houses on the ocean sound really beautiful, hope you were able to take some good pics.
Can't wait to hear all about the Opera house, I'm sure that in itself was an experience of a lifetime. I can't believe it's only been 3 days and you guys have managed to take so much in already!
Everything here is good, the house is still coming along slowly but surely. We have yet to believe that we will actually be in by the end of the month. Maybe we'll need some help putting up the fence after all!
The weather has been really nice in Lethbridge and area. We went hiking in Waterton yesterday, it was really beautiful. I managed to finish the hike but part of the way through tripped and pulled some muscles fairly bad in my neck. I thought I was stiff last night but woke up today and couldn't even get myself sitting in bed. Thank goodness I have Ry around, he is taking very good care of me. It's just crazy how one little misstep can throw your whole body out of whack. I'm hoping to be better for work tomorrow but am kind of doubtful.
Ry is out enjoying nature and fishing in the mountains with Soleil and a couple of friends for the afternoon while my mom is home to help me get around. You know him, Mr. Mountain bum.
We miss you all so very much and hope you are having a wonderful time down under. We can't wait for you to get home and hear all about the trip.
Hopefully you're all getting closer to being on Australia time...it's never fun travelling without proper rest.
We love you lots!!!
xoxo

PS: I would LOVE a pair of UGGS...as long as it's not an inconvenience at all. Size 7 of the tall caramel color would be great. I think Kelly knows the ones. ONLY if it's not a bother though!!

Hey you guys,

It sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I can't wait to hear how My Fair Lady was. I'm sure it will be amazing. I was so glad to see that you've already started posting on your blog and was happy to hear that you got there safely.
I'm missing you lots Kelly. We've been so busy touring Thailand, but I did manage to get my first pang of home sickness the other day.
Hope you have a great time and I'll keep checking your blog. I hope your first Koala experience is a cuddly one.
Love,
Karlie
